Nobody in the 2026 peloton has spent more kilometres off the front than the man the team calls 'the French Thomas De Gendt'. A former engineer who didn't become a full-time bike rider until his twenties, Veistroffer took his first pro win from a breakaway at February's Tour of Oman and makes his Grand Tour debut at his home Tour as the squad's designated escape artist — the only Frenchman on this Belgian team.

Cut-out factBefore turning pro he worked as an engineer for the French Navy, researching air-conditioning and climate systems for ships, and raced triathlons on the side.
