The lone foreigner in an otherwise all-French Tour eight, Germani is a product of the team's own Continental academy, signed to the WorldTeam at just 20 after winning the Italian U23 road title. The lanky climber from Sora has already banked a Vuelta and a Giro, and now gets the biggest stage of all. In a squad built to attack, the 24-year-old is expected to ferry bottles in week one and hunt breakaways by week three.
