The slight Copenhagen climber owns one of cycling's great giant-killing moments: out-sprinting Tadej Pogačar and Remco Evenepoel to win the 2025 Amstel Gold Race, a race he nearly won again this April. At the Tour he rides as Lidl-Trek's second protected card, a luxury lieutenant whose chemistry with Ayuso — on show at the Dauphiné in June — gives the team a two-headed threat in the mountains. If the Spaniard falters, Denmark has a ready-made plan B.
