The pocket climber from Medellín was one of cycling's hottest properties when he won the 2022 Volta a Catalunya for Bora-Hansgrohe, and at XDS Astana he has rediscovered his freedom to attack. He led the team to 14th at the 2025 Tour and opened 2026 with 2nd overall at the AlUla Tour. In Barcelona he starts as the team's most explosive weapon for the high mountains.
